Is Warhorse Studios making a new game?
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is just around the corner and I cannot wait for it to arrive so I can spend hundreds of hours in the world developed by Warhorse Studio again! As such, here are ten things I would love to see in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2!
Continuation of Henry’s Romantic Relationship with Theresa
The first thing on my list is the continuation of Henry’s romance with Theresa. After Bianca’s tragic death during the raid on Skalitz, Theresa becomes Henry’s main love interest. If you go on three dates with her and complete all objectives of the “Courtship” side quest, you can choose to either end or continue your relationship with her.

However, choosing to continue comes with a bit of a caveat. When Henry expresses his desire for a more formal relationship that could eventually lead to marriage, Theresa agrees, but with some reservations. She notes that Henry is always on the move and may not be able to settle down as he hopes.
As a compromise, Henry and Theresa agree to keep seeing each other, but that’s where their relationship development ends in the game. For someone who enjoyed their chemistry, it was disappointing to find out that this was the extent of their romance.
The only time Theresa references their relationship is when Henry uses the bath wench service and then immediately speaks to her afterward.
This happens only if you pursue Theresa after the barn encounter. Otherwise, you’re back to square one with her.
This isn’t to say there’s no “reward” for completing Theresa’s side quest, “Courtship.” The reward is an unlocked dialogue option where you can ask Theresa to repair your clothes.
Is it a good reward? Yes. Is it the reward I was hoping for? No.
Carrying Over Saves from the First Game
Another feature I want to see in Kingdom Come Deliverance II is the ability to carry over save files from the first game. It would be great if all the progress made in Kingdom Come: Deliverance could be recognized and have some effect in the sequel.
Many developers have done this with their games. For example, Middle-earth: Shadow of War allowed save files to carry over from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, The Witcher 3 did the same with previous Witcher games, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite with Monster Hunter Freedom 2.
Games that allow save file transfers do so to varying extents. Often, they consider the ending chosen in the previous game, but some go further by including details like the appearance of customized characters, specific main story choices, or even romantic partners.
This is something I’d love to see in the sequel, but I’ve seen posts suggesting that there won’t be any save file carryover based on a Q&A by Warhorse Studios. If true, that’s a bit disappointing.
More Blacksmithing or Blacksmithing Features
Henry is the son of a blacksmith, so it seems fitting that blacksmithing should be a skill he can fully engage in within Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

However, in the first game, Henry’s blacksmithing abilities are limited to maintaining his weapon on a grindstone or using a Blacksmith’s Kit. There’s also the Armorer’s Kit, but that’s separate and doesn’t quite fall under blacksmithing.
It would be fascinating if Henry could actually forge weapons at a blacksmith’s forge. The game already has the assets in place, with blacksmiths using these tools in the game. They even have fairly complex animations, so allowing Henry to step into this role would be a natural progression.
Adding more blacksmithing features could also introduce a new skill for Henry to master, complete with its own set of perks.
BuiltIn Photo Mode or Better GeForce Experience PhotoMode
One thing everyone expects from a sequel is improvements and new features. A built-in photo mode is something I would love to see in the next installment of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. While this isn’t unique to the series, it would be a significant addition.

In the first game, using NVidia’s GeForce Experience for capturing screenshots was a bit of a hassle due to its wonky camera controls. Despite the challenges, those controls did offer a wide range of photo angles, allowing for some creative shots.
Nvidia GeForce Experience also provided various filters and settings to adjust the game’s appearance, adding another layer of customization to in-game photography.
I wouldn’t mind if Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 continues to integrate with GeForce Experience, but I hope it’s more seamless—especially when launching the game through Nexus’ Vortex mod manager.
Equipment Loadouts

A quality-of-life feature I’d love to see in the sequel is the addition of Equipment Loadouts for Henry. This would allow him to quickly equip or de-equip specific sets of gear whenever the items are available.
I’m imagining something similar to Cyberpunk 2077’s outfit system, where there could even be recommended equipment sets or loadouts that Henry can easily switch between.
Would it be easy to implement? I hope so!
Do I think it’s going to be in the game? Probably not, but it would be a really nice feature to have.
More random encounters
This feature is already a guarantee, and the random encounters in the first game were both fun and plentiful. However, after playing the game for over 500 hours, I’ve likely seen every possible encounter during my travels. So, I’m hoping for even more random encounters in the sequel, with even greater variety.
This one is pretty straightforward, so let’s move on to the next feature.
More romance options or Deeper Romantic Relationships
Revisiting the first point on my list, it would be fantastic if Henry had more romantic options in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

In the original game, there are only two true romantic options: Theresa and Lady Stephanie. While there are other brief sexual encounters—like Adela in Sasau during “The Madonna of Sasau” side quest, the witches in “Playing with the Devil,” and the bath wenches—these don’t offer the depth of a real relationship.
In the sequel, I’d love to see Henry engage in a more meaningful romantic relationship, even if it’s just one, that is more fully developed in both story and gameplay. The abrupt endings of the romantic arcs in the first game were disappointing, with no follow-up in the story or gameplay.
If adding more romantic options isn’t feasible, then I hope they at least allow for a deeper, more satisfying relationship for Henry.
Village building SImilar to The From the Ashes DLC Content

Kingdom Come: Deliverance had a downloadable content (DLC) called From The Ashes, which introduced village-building features.
While this might seem “unnecessary” or far removed from the typical content you’d expect in an action RPG, the village building in From The Ashes was incredibly well-executed and added a lot of depth to the game.
Additionally, the DLC included engaging activities like resolving disputes between citizens and managing funds and reputation.
Above all, this was “fun” content that I would love to see return in the sequel.
More Complex Combat (Sword Postures, halfswording, etc.)
While I hope Warhorse Studios will add more combat-related features in the sequel, I’m concerned they might simplify it to appeal to a broader audience. One of the major criticisms of the first game was that the combat felt slow, boring, and clunky.
Opinions on this vary, but combat was one of the strongest aspects of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. As far as I know, the only other game with first-person combat and direction-specific attacks is Chivalry.

The combat’s clunky and slow nature was also quite realistic. Historically, learning swordplay was challenging and intimidating, causing hesitation and making combat appear awkward. This was accurately reflected in Henry’s early struggles in the game.
Practicing with a swordmaster like Combat Master Vanyek would make things even tougher, as experienced fighters like bandits, Cumans, or knights presented significant challenges.
The steep learning curve was part of the game’s appeal, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Warhorse Studios chose to make combat easier and more accessible in the sequel.
However, for those who appreciate Kingdom Come: Deliverance for its complexity, we’d love to see even more intricate combat mechanics in the sequel.
More Hans Capon
That’s it. No further explanation is needed.

Okay, maybe a little more.
Sir Hans Capon is an exceptional character crafted by Warhorse Studios to complement Henry perfectly. His presence not only contrasts with Henry’s journey but enriches it, providing a noble perspective to Henry’s more humble origins.
Hans Capon plays a crucial role in Henry’s growth, offering lessons in swordfighting, archery, and the intricacies of courtliness, all while maintaining his own compelling narrative.
Hans Capon stands out not just as a supporting character but as a fascinating individual in his own right.
Thanks to the talented writers at Warhorse and the superb performance by Luke Dale, Hans Capon emerges as a charismatic, charming, and likable character who still shows vulnerability. Unlike many noble archetypes that can come off as naive or irritating, Hans is skillfully written and brought to life with nuance and depth.
In short, Sir Hans Capon is a character we want more of, and the same goes for Luke Dale, whose portrayal adds significant allure and authenticity to the role.
