I didn’t expect much from the Cyberpunk 2077 mod community to actually fiddle around with Cyberpunk 2077 other than fix its bugs and optimization issues. Fast forward to 2024 and there are tons of Cyberpunk 2077 mods that both enhance the experience and add more to it.
Now that I am on my fourth playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, I thought I needed some help to spice up and speed things up.
So, here are 5 Cyberpunk 2077 Mods I recommend. These Cyberpunk 2077 mods are compatible with Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.0 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC. You can also choose not to get any of these Cyberpunk 2077 mods, as there really is no right way to play Cyberpunk 2077.
Please keep in mind that I don’t necessarily think that these are the best mods for Cyberpunk 2077. Instead, these are the ones I needed the most as it fits my play style and needs in the game. I personally like taking photos, and taking things easier on my subsequent playthroughs after the first. Also, I don’t try to go overboard with the changes made using the Cyberpunk 2077 mods because I don’t want to ruin the file or the game to be too taxing on my computer. So, this list is made with a balance of preference and practicality kept in mind.
No Intro Videos

If you are just like me who’s already sick of the long intro of Cyberpunk 2077, the No Intro Videos mod is perfect.
This Cyberpunk 2077 mod is pretty much straightforward, it skips the intro video that plays whenever you start up Cyberpunk 2077. Don’t get me wrong. The intro video is not bad, but it gets pretty annoying once you’ve opened and closed Cyberpunk 2077 more than once.
It’s not disruptive and game-breaking, so rest assured your gameplay experience is untouched.
Simple XP Multiplier

If you feel like you are leveling up too slowly in Cyberpunk 2077, you can use the Simple XP Multiplier by rmk1234.
This Cyberpunk 2077 mod allows you to adjust the experience you gain by adding multipliers to the raw experience rewarded to you when doing various things in Cyberpunk 2077. You can go lower than 1.0 if you want to slow down your level-ups even more than how it already is.
I used this in my third playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 so that I could get around faster and immediately catch up to Phantom Liberty.
Custom Level Cap

Another feature that can speed up and lower the difficulty of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay is the mod Custom Level Cap by Scissors123454321.
Using the Custom Level Cap mod allows you to freely level up past Level 60, which is the level cap after Patch 2.0 was added. Before the Patch 2.0 expansion, Cyberpunk 2077’s level cap was only at Level 50.
If you are wondering how it affects the extra Attribute and Perk points you gain if there is a limit to the point distribution itself, then be at ease as you can still add Perk points past 20. Attribute points, however, are still capped at 20. This is fine since Attribute points mainly affect the skill and stat checks in dialogue or actions, aside from raising the point cap in the Skill Tree Perks themselves.
This is the best quality-of-life mod out of all the Cyberpunk 2077 mods in this list in my opinion, so feel free to try it out.
Photo Mode Unlocker 2.0 XL

If you are like me who loves to take photos in Cyberpunk 2077, Photo Mode Unlocker XL by SilverEzredes is essential. Out of all the Cyberpunk 2077 mods in this list, this is my favorite.
Photo Mode Unlocker XL allows a better range of motion when using the Drone Camera Type in Cyberpunk 2077’s photo mode. Other features added by this mod include additional character poses and adjustments to camera settings such as Field of View, Camera Rotation, Depth of Field Aperture, Level of Detail distance, maximum camera distance, and reduced character collision box.
I’f’ve taken a few good photos with these, and it opens up a lot of things to do in Photo Mode.

Cyberware Item Bonus Stat Settings

While I didn’t use this Cyberpunk 2077 mod extensively and only experimented with it, Cyberware Item Bonus Stat Settings allows you to tweak around the stat bonuses cyberwares provide you.
Just like the Simple XP Multiplier, the goal of this Cyberpunk 2077 mod is to make the game much easier or adjust it to your liking.

While this is the only one I didn’t use as much in all of these Cyberpunk 2077 mods on the list, I can definitely see its usefulness for tons of players who found the game to have poor balancing. I didn’t really use this because it feels more game-breaking than the other Cyberpunk 2077 mods, but again, these are just recommendations. You don’t have to use these, and I don’t feel strongly about these Cyberpunk 2077 mods—aside from the Photo Mode unlock 2.0 XL; make sure to get that one
Cyberpunk 2077 Modding Disclaimer
Please keep in mind that all these Cyberpunk 2077 mods need the Cyber Engine Tweaks framework to support them. I also thought about adding loot markers, vehicle handling, weapon adjustments, and whatnot, but I’m happy with my list right now. These are also all Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus Mods so you won’t have a problem finding these online.
How to install Cyberpunk 2077 Mods?
There are two main ways of installing Cyberpunk 2077. These are through: Mod Managers or Copy-pasting Game Files. Mod Managers you can use are the Nexus’ Vortex Mod manager or Mod Organizer 2. Manually adjusting the files through copy-and-pasting them in the games folder is also an option regularly used by modders and gamers.
You will also need some prerequisite mods such as the CyberEngine Tweak mod.
