City Game Studio is an immersive gaming experience where you become the mastermind behind your own game development company. With its extensive features, you can take a peek at the world of game development.

Let’s explore the different aspects of City Game Studio and what it has to offer.

Game Development

You can create your own company’s logo by turning your photo into pixel art or creating one from scratch. You may also choose your company’s genre specialization, customize your own character, and rename your staff members.

Additionally, there are five difficulty options that affect gameplay mechanics such as contracts, game engines, console development, and more.

During game development, you will need to choose your game’s genre and theme. This process has three stages: design, development, and polish. Your decisions in each stage will affect platform, compute, and graphic capabilities.

After releasing your game, you’ll receive review scores from game review outlets. This should help you ensure future games are successful but also do game reports since they provide additional insight.

Unlike reviews, game reports give you hints on more specific things like genre and platform synergy.

Studio Management

Aside from game development, you also take the role of a studio manager.

You can expand your company by buying or renting more studios. Hiring additional staff and acquiring more studios is essential for keeping an efficient company.

More than that, furnishing your studios is also crucial. Staff productivity also increases when your studio is well-equipped and decorated. However, this may require significant financial investment, so manage your finances effectively.

When managing finances, consider factors like tax, mortgage, rent, and server maintenance. When managing staff, consider their energy levels, happiness, and studio productivity bonuses.

RTS Competition

Surprisingly, City Game Studios also has some Real-Time Strategy (RTS) elements to it.

As your empire grows, rival companies will challenge you such as Namdai Bamco, RustinE, GameHouse, Circle Enix, RockSun, Warner Sis, GreenByte, and more.

Mainly, you will compete against industry giants by publishing big games and acquiring more studios to stop their expansion.

Yet there are underhanded ways to play the game.

You can also buy out companies or part of their shares. You may also hack their servers, crack their games, and sabotage their rankings. There are tons of ways to win against your competitors.

However, your competitors can also attack you.

You should also expect your competitors to be fully prepared to launch attacks on your company. These include hacking your servers, cracking your games, and sabotaging your rankings.

Mod Support

City Game Studio also offers community mod support, allowing you to play and share custom community content.

The game is already replayable, and the mod support further improves upon this.

Hold on, it’s not THAT perfect.

It’s worth noting the game’s user interface may be complex for some. Even as a fan of simulation games, I was a bit confused as well.

Additionally, it has a few grammatical errors, but this should not take away from the experience.

The amount of content and mechanics going on may also overload your senses. If you want to play it casually, there is nothing wrong with playing City Game Studio at the easiest difficulty.

Design, Develop, and Dominate in City Game Studio.

Overall, City Game Studio is an enjoyable game for aspiring game developers, studio managers, or RTS fans.

There are tons of fun experiences to be had. I really enjoyed managing a game company, developing games, designing studios, and defeating competitors.

There are more things in the game I have yet to include. Expect to find puzzles, mini-games, and some advanced economics in the game.

The game is available on Steam and guarantees hours of fun gameplay.
