Nation of the Lambent Flame is a Main Quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This quest comes right after The Feast of Deception, and marks the start of your journey to the nation of Battahl, the Beastren Kingdom.
Nation of the Lambent Flame walkthrough
After ending The Feast of Deception quest, Ser Brant will tell you to go to Battahl to seek out the source of the Godsway. He will also tell you to find a certain somebody that might help you in your mission. He will also give you a Border Entry Permit.
Right after the conversation ends, the Nation of Lambent Flame quest starts.
Go to Checkpoint Rest Town and approach the Border Gate where a cutscene will play out.
There, the guard seeks your entry permit and assumes you are a merchant. However, your conversation is interrupted as Lord Phaseus’ cart passes by.
The cutscene ends, and you are once again speaking with the guard of the border gate. Simply deliver the entry permit to the guard, and you are free to pass through!
When walking down the highway of Battahl, the shrouded figure will show up and speak with you. He congratulates you for coming far in your journey, then suggests you make for a place called The Rockmouse’s Burrow. Afterward, he promptly disappears.
Make for Rockmouse’s Burrow
Proceed with your journey and make your way to Rockmouse’s Burrow, right beside Bakbattahl.
You will encounter various monsters such as Hobgoblins, Venin Harpies, and Bandits, so be careful. The difficulty jump from Vermund to Battahl seems to be pretty significant, so try to be clever with how you travel.
Once you reach the road close to The Rockmouse’s Burrow, a Beastren woman named Menella will chat up with you. She assumes you are the Arisen and invites you to follow her toward the inn.
Inside The Rockmouse’s Burrow, she tells you that Pawns in Bakbattahl are prejudiced and it may be harder for the Arisen, whose followers are Pawns, to be accepted in Bakbattahl. Therefore, she offers you a Bakbattahl Residence Permit.
Receiving the resident permit and ending the conversation with Menella completes the quest Nation of the Lambent Flame.
