The Nameless Village walkthrough
After completing some of the quest objectives in The Monster Culling Quest. A new option is revealed when talking to Ser Brant. Choose “Tell me of the false Sovran.”
Ser Brant tells you about his discovery when snooping around the palace. It seems like the queen regent has been diverting gold to daily purchase of sweet crownflower. This has been going on for quite some time now, particularly starting when the fake Arisen, whose name is Arthur, first appeared.
With all of Ser Brant’s findings, he assumes that the money used for spending Sweet Crownflower is actually given to Arthur himself. He then asks you to investigate a location east of Vermund as it is where sweet crownflowers grow. This is in hopes that you will learn something about the false Sovran’s origin from this.
Choose “Agree to investigate,” and The Nameless Village quest starts. If you haven’t reached the Nameless Village, then feel free to read this step-by-step guide on what to expect and do there.
If you have reached it prior to starting this quest, skip the end of the next section. The next section is dedicated for discovering the Nameless Village.
Finding the Nameless Village
When you first walk through the east path shown on the minimap, you’ll notice that the way to the Nameless Village is blocked by a bunch of fallen rocks. So, head south and pass by the campsite. Keep exploring deeper until you reach the Eastern Forest marker.
Deep in the Eastern Forest, you may encounter a Minotaur, so be careful.
The Nameless Village’s location is found far in the east of Vermond. A marker should be placed on your map after talking to Ser Brant. Proceed to the location, but beware of the common enemies you will encounter in Vermond, such as goblins, harpies, choppers, saurians, and cyclopes.
Keep moving deeper into the Eastern Forest until the only way is up a series of conveniently designed platforms you can climb on. Continue climbing and hug the wall, then proceed left until you see a small pathway leading toward the Nameless Village.
Pass through this pathway, and you’ll find yourself in the Nameless Village.
Finding Information on the False Sovran
When you first reach the Nameless Village, a merchant named Srail will stop you and tell you that you will find nothing in the place.
You can speak to most of the people in the Nameless Village, such as Manna, the woman in the Nameless Inn. You can ask her about the village and the false Sovran named Arthur.
When asked about Arthur, she will tell you that it is unfamiliar to her but specifically states that she knows no one by that name living in the village.
You may also notice that a beastren woman is following you. Speak to her, and she will tell you that not everything is as it seems. She also gives you a hint about what is happening in the village, as well as saying that she is betting on you. What that means will be revealed later on.
What you really want to do in the Nameless Village is head to the end of the village where a manor is built. Go into the Old Noble Manor and speak to the man inside, Flaude.

Speaking with Flaude, it seems that he knows you. You can ask about the village, his knowledge of you, and the False Arisen. When speaking about you, he tells you all that he knows, such as your alliance with Ser Brant but stops himself when divulging information about Disa’s response.
It seems Queen Regent Disa knows of your doings with Ser Brant, but don’t worry, the game does nothing with this information.
As for information on the False Arisen, he tells you that he does not know of anyone in the village going by that name.
If you want to go the roundabout way of doing things, keep on reading. If not, skip the next three paragraphs.
Secrets of the Nameless Village
Talking to Flaude does not end the quest, so listen to the chatter of NPCs in the Nameless Village. If you eavesdropped on one of the NPCs, he will say that something is going on at night. So, sit on the bench outside the Old Noble Manor and Doze Off until it is nightfall.
At night, go to the center of the village and wait until three people gather. The three people you are waiting for are an old man, a young man, and a kid. They will be walking towards the Old Noble Manor, so follow them.
Be patient and follow them until they reach the Old Noble Manor. However, they won’t be going inside and instead, they will path left. Somewhere in the thick bushes is a hole with a ladder they will go down.
Find the hole left from the entrance of the Old Noble Manor and go down the ladder. This location is called the Nameless Village Depths and it features obstacles that require precise platforming. There are only two rooms or stages with obstacles, so don’t stress out too much if you are not good at platforming.
Nameless Village Depths Obstacles

Our simple advice here is to angle the platforms accordingly by managing and timing the weight properly and jumping across at the right time. Be sure to kick the ladders down when you reach the end of each stage.
Once you’ve reached the end of the Nameless Village Depths, You will meet the merchant you found at the start of the Nameless Village. His name is Srail, and he is the true Thief-Maister.
Speaking with Srail, you can ask him about the False Arisen, whose real name is Darragh. As it turns out, Arthur, or Darragh as his real name in the Nameless Village, was exiled from the village and has a convenient scar on his chest that allows him to pretend as the Arisen.
As such, Darragh, now named Arthur, went off to Vernworth and pretended to be the Arisen with the help of Queen Regent Disa. This, in turn, gave him the rights to be Vermund’s ruler, the Sovran.
During your conversation with Srail, choosing “Tell me about Darragh” will end with him giving you Darragh’s Bill of Arrest. Once you have this, report back to Ser Brant.
Return to Ser Brant and Extra Quest Info
Exit through the door on the left of the final room of the Nameless Village Depths and sleep until the next day. Doing this will allow the main path going in and out of the Nameless Village to disappear.
Before leaving, you can also find an additional optional quest item by exploring Darragh’s Home in the Nameless Village. Go into Darragh’s Home found in the northeast side of the Nameless Village.
In Darragh’s house is a letter on the table you can pick up. The item is called the Folded Letter that has a certain phrase “a piece of brass.” you can go to Flaude and ask him about the phrase, but he only gives you a hint of what Darragh wants to do.
You can also go talk to the woman in the inn to ask about Darragh, but it only serves as additional lore on Darragh’s standing in the village.
Again, the Folded letter is an optional item you can leave behind when completing The Nameless Village quest.
Now, go back to Vernworth and report your findings to Ser Brant. This marks the end of The Nameless Village quest.
