A passerby will then interrupt your conversation, and inform both of you that Rodge was seen being abducted by wolves.

Morris then asks for your assistance, which you can choose to accept or decline, bearing in mind that this is a timed quest. Take too long and it will result in a tragic end.

After accepting his request, the Prey for the Pack quest starts and you’re instructed to ask around Checkpoint Rest Town for clues about Rodge’s whereabouts.

Look for a marked area in the town where you can speak to various individuals for hints or information.

You only need to find three people: Jacint, Timothy, and Alsa.

Alsa

A young dark-skinned girl named Alsa will be walking around near the entrance of Checkpoint Rest Town.

She mentions that the flowers in the area glow at night.

Jacint

An old woman named Jacint wandering around the entrance of Checkpoint Rest Town.

She notes that Rodge tends to a flowerbed on the outskirts of town.

Combining the information provided by Jacint, Timothy, and Alsa, you can deduce that you need to find something about glowing flowers at night, as Rodge was seen picking flowers before being taken by the wolves and the flowers glow at night.

Head to the marked location east of Checkpoint Rest Town once you’ve spoken to all three individuals. When you reach the flowerbed near the cenotaph, during the day, you may witness a griffin carrying an ox. At night, you might find a wight and its skeletons wandering around.

Look for petals on the ground left by Rodge, which may be easier to spot at night. As a quick tip, Moonglow Petals are also visible late noon, so waiting until nightfall may not be necessary.

Two trails of petal can be found: one leading west, and the other leading northeast. Follow the trail of petals leading northeast, across the bridge and towards the main road. Wolves can also be found which should be taken as another hint.

Track the trail of Moonglow Petals, fighting off wolves, undead, and phantoms along the way.

Eventually, you’ll reach the Putrid Cave to find Rodge inside being attacked by wolves.

Defeat the wolves quickly to rescue Rodge.

After speaking with Rodge, escort him back to Checkpoint Rest Town and reunite him with Morris. Morris expresses his gratitude and rewards you for your help, concluding the quest.

In the event that you take too long saving Rodge, the outcome leads to a different resolution.

Instead of rescuing Rodge, you’ll only find his clothing as proof of his fate. After finding Rodge’s clothing in the Putrid Cave, you’ll need to bring it back to Morris in Checkpoint Rest Town. This is another way of ending the Prey for the Pack side quest.
