The first patch of Dragon’s Dogma 2 addressed some of the common issues players had when playing in both the PlayStation 5 and Steam PC version of Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The developers of Dragon’s Dogma 2 added the option to start a new game when save data already exists, changed the amount of “Art of Metamorphosis” items available at Pawn Guilds in the game to 99, made the quest that allows players to get their own home available earlier, and fixed some text display issues. They also fixed some other bugs that were affected a minority of players.

PlayStation 5 players of Dragon’s Dogma 2 now have the option to toggle Motion Blur and Ray Tracing on or off in the Options menu. Additionally, they have added the ability to set the Maximum Frame Rate to 30 FPS, instead of a permanently being on uncapped FPS setting which causes occasional stuttering of the game.

On the Steam version of Dragon’s Dogma 2, specific changes have been made to enhance visual quality when using DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION and addressed issues related to model display under certain settings.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 developers also note that further improvements to the game’s frame rate are being planned in the future updates.

All in all, the developers of Dragon’s Dogma 2 seem to understand the common problems players are having with the game without sacrificing the core vision and philosophy of the game: immersive and fun exploration and adventure.
