The Ailing Arborheart WALKTHROUGH

20240415080303 1

After finishing The Trial of Archery quest, you can return to the Sacred Arbor to see how Doireann and Glywndr are doing.

Once in the Sacred Arbor, you can speak Doireann. When you speak with Doireann, she’ll introduce herself and then head towards the inner sanctum of the Sacred Arbor. Follow her until she is somewhere in the middle of the Sacred Arbor. Talk to her, and she’ll tell you about about the Arborheart.

Doireann explains that the Arborheart is currently lacking nourishment and requires outside help. She mentions the Gwyfencha, an item said to be capable of nourishing the Arborheart, and then asks you to find this item. However, “Gwyfencha” is the Elven name for it.

Find out what Gwyfencha is

To progress the quest, find Glywndr in the Mountain Ruins where he tells you that a wandering blacksmith left some Gwyfencha when he stumbled upon the Sacred Arbor. He then tells you that it is called Scalecinder in Human language, and the blacksmith can be found in Battahl.

After your conversation with Glyndwr, your next quest objective is to head over to Battahl and find the blacksmith.

Speak with a Battahli Blacksmith

Once you reach Battahl either through the Nation of Lambent Flame quest or any other means, travel to Bakbattahl.

You will find the Battahli Blacksmith on the southwest area of Bakbattahl, right past the Mercantile ward. The place is called Brokkr’s Smithy where you will find a female human and a male dwarf working. Speaking to the dwarf will achieve you nothing, so speak to the woman named Sara.

Approaching Sara will progress the mission and let her acknowledge that you are in need of scalecinders. However, Brokkr, the dwarf owner of the blacksmith, might not help you as elves and dwarves do not like each other in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Sara then suggests that you make something as a peace offering of sorts. Elves seem to have a delicacy which Brokkr enjoys, nutriabh.

So, Sara requests that you first make a nutriabh before approaching her and Brokkr again. This officially ends the quest The Ailing Arborheart and starts the next quest in line, Out of the Forest, Into the Forge.
