Brothers Brave and Timid is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It is only made available when you arrive in Melve. It starts when accepting the request of a Melve citizen named Ian, whose brother named Norbert has gone missing.
Brothers Brave and Timid Walkthrough
After Dahlia instructs you to speak with Gregor at the Melve gate entrance as part of the In Dragon’s Wake quest, you gain the freedom to explore the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, and the Brothers Brave and Timid quest becomes available.
To trigger the quest, seek out a man named Ian in the vicinity of Melve.
Look for a man wearing a green shirt, brown cape, and carrying a shield on his back. Ian can often be found at Tristan’s Inn, so start your search there.
When you speak to Ian, he shares his concerns about his brother, Norbert, who has gone missing in the woods of Northern Vermund.
Ian requests your help in finding Norbert but expresses doubts about your ability to follow his directions accurately.
Rather than providing clear directions, Ian offers to lead you to Norbert’s last known location. Follow Ian’s lead, ensuring that he stays safe during the journey.
As you follow the path, Ian suggests taking a break at a stone bridge and setting up camp at a nearby fire pit. You can choose to follow his suggestion and set up camp or continue directly to the quest marker on the map.
If you choose to set up camp, you can either sleep until the next day or exit camp immediately to continue with the quest.
Continue following the path toward the quest marker, where you discover Norbert under attack by a pack of wolves. Act swiftly to defeat the wolves before they harm Norbert.
Once the threat is eliminated, Norbert expresses his gratitude for your assistance. They then ask you to help them get back to the village.
Your next task is to escort both brothers safely back to Melve. Simply retrace your steps along the path you came.
Once you return Ian and Norbert safely to Melve, you have successfully completed the Brothers Brave and Timid quest.
