The Provisioner’s Plight is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It starts with a Vermundian knight named Geoffrey asking you to help gather materials for the outpost. You help Geoffrey by giving Markus additional supplies needed for the outpost. This quest takes place north of Borderwatch Outpost, in the Northern Vermund/Base of Mt. Alles.
The Provisioner’s Plight Walkthrough
As you stroll by the fruit stands and vendor at the Borderwatch Outpost, you might bump into a Vermundian guard named Geoffrey.
He’ll strike up a conversation about the shortage of supplies needed for crafting weapons and armor for the troops.
Geoffrey will mention that he sent Markus to gather materials, but it seems the list he gave Markus was incomplete.
Geoffrey then asks you to find Markus and provide him with the additional list of supplies.
Markus can be located north of the Borderwatch Outpost, and you’ll spot a quest marker on your mini-map to guide you.
Head out the Borderwatch Outpost through the north gate and follow the path towards the quest.
You’ll eventually find Markus crouched atop a hill. Approaching him, you’ll see that he’s already gathered all the initial materials listed by Geoffrey. Break the news about his incomplete list and deliver the list of additional supplies, known as the Provisioner’s Note, to him.
In frustration, Markus suggests that you collect the remaining materials instead.
Your task is to gather 3 Harspuds and 2 Salubrious Draughts, and then deliver it to Markus.
Harspuds can be found around Northern Vermund or at the base of Mt. Alles. You can deliver any type of Harspuds to Markus except for rotten ones. Salubrious Draughts can be crafted using materials found in the same location.
To craft a Salubrious Draught, combine any of the items listed below:

If you have some of the required items but not all, you can choose to deliver them one by one. Once you have delivered all of the required items to Markus, he rewards you with a Waking Powder and returns to the Borderwatch Outpost.
Finally, report back to Geoffrey to complete The Provisioner’s Plight side quest.
