Claw Them Into Shape is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It starts when you go to Beren’s Tent near the Moonglow Garden in Northern Vermund.
Claw Them Into Shape Walkthrough
To start the Claw Them Into Shape quest, you must first reach Vernworth during the In Dragon’s Wake quest. Afterward, return to Northern Vermund to visit Beren.
During the first three main quests of Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can find Beren in the Borderwatch Outpost training the soldiers there. At this point in the game, he is no longer there and can be found near the Moonglow Garden west of the Borderwatch Outpost.
Go to the Moonglow Garden and find Beren outside his tent.
Beren will then ask for your help as there seems to be a lack of power in the outpost during this time. His first request is to procure three swords and a motivated soldier who can inspire his troops.
For the three swords, any type of sword can be delivered, so buy from a shop or retrieve them from your inventory and storage.
Once you have the requested items, deliver them to Beren.
To find a motivated soldier, you can actually get a hint by listening to a man talking to Liotte in the Borderwatch Outpost. He should be in one of the tents near the Riftstone, checking out fruits.
When speaking to him, he will tell you about someone named Humphrey who went to Vernworth and suggests that you go find him when you reach Vernworth.
Travel back to Vernworth and find a man named Humphrey. He should be walking around the streets between the Vernworth Pawn Guild and the Noble Quarter
Once you find Humphrey, talk to him and tell him about Beren’s request, and he will travel to Beren’s Tent.
Now, go back to Beren once you’ve sent Humphrey to Beren as well as delivered the swords. If Beren is not at his tent, check the Borderwatch Outpost Training Grounds.
If you’ve followed the instructions correctly and have completed both of Beren’s requests, he will now ask you for a spar duel to test his own skills and mettle.
There are many different ways to defeat Beren, such as whittling down his HP or knocking him out of the area. Keep in mind, these also apply to you.
Regardless of the match’s result, a knight named Eli will come rushing towards you two to report that goblins have attacked his men.
Beren will rush to their aid, and you will follow them. Keep following their trail until you meet an injured soldier, who tells Beren that they were attacked by Goblins and eventually a Cyclops.
The injured soldiers walk back to the outpost, and Beren tells you that he will be dismissed for allowing such an incident to happen.
In Vermund, it seems that Beastrens in the military face a much harsher punishment for the same mistakes that humans would have. Beren is no exception.
So, you learn of Beren’s dismissal from the military, and the quest ends here.
However, be sure to go over to Beren’s Tent to proceed with the next part of Beren’s questline.
