Higg’s Tavern Stand is a mysterious location in the beastren nation of Dragon’s Dogma 2, Bakbattahl, and can only be accessed by fulfilling specific conditions. This location can be found in the Northeast area of Bakbattahl, at the northernmost area of the Residential Ward.
When you first attempt to enter Higg’s Tavern Stand, the guard stationed outside will dismiss you. Even if you attempt to push the door, it remains locked from the other side.
There’s a way to enter Higg’s Tavern Stand which you can discover by eavesdropping on a conversation in Bakbattahl. Random villagers in Bakbattahl will discuss something about getting Newt Liqueur from a particular establishment. However, they will take note that to gain entry to this place, you must prove yourself trustworthy by completing a task.
The place they are talking about is an establishment called Higg’s Tavern Stand, northeast of the Residential Ward in Bakbattahl.
The conversation mentions “lugging a sandbag over to the fence in front of the tavern.” Head to Higg’s Tavern Stand in the Residential Ward of Bakbattahl where you’ll see sandbags and a fenced area in front of it.
Prove your worth
Simply bringing a sandbag over the fence won’t be enough; you’ll need more.
First, obtain a Beastren mask, available from Ibrahim in Ibrahim’s Scrap Store at Checkpoint Rest Town. Wear the mask, then return to Higg’s Tavern. Carry two sandbags into the fenced area, and a Beastren will take notice.
If you attempt this task without the Beastren mask, the area’s occupants will attack you. Alternatively, if you are a Beastren, you can skip wearing a Beastren mask.
After completing the task, the Beastren outside will converse with you, and the game will transition you inside the tavern. Once inside the tavern, you can buy Newt Liqueur from Ezekiel for 5000 Gold.
Ezekiel can sell you up to 3 Newt Liqueurs, and we suggest buying all of it. He also sells Rotten Scrag of Beast for 5 Gold, you can buy that too if you’re bored. After buying the Newt Liqueurs, Ezekiel will tell you that they get their supply from the Forbidden Magick Research Lab. The people at the lab ask Ezekiel for Saurian Tails in return for the Newt Liqueurs. However, Ezekiel has no clue how the liqueurs are made.
Another tip that Ezekiel gives you is that you should pay a visit to the Dye Stores. The Saurian Tails are brought to the Dye Stores at night, and it seems like you can exchange fresh Saurian Tails for Newt Liqueurs there.
You can also return to this shop and buy more every two or three days. In two or three days’ time, they will restock their products.
